Music

The music and entertainment you choose for your wedding day is a reflection of your special feelings of happiness.

Wedding ceremony music may feature soloists, instrumentalists, choral or congregational singing

During an afternoon reception. an ensemble or orchestra can provide wonderful entertainment for your guests. Those who prefer to listen attentively can gather close; those preferring to visit can sit a little further away and still enjoy the ambiance which a musical background creates.

Evening receptions may include a pianist or other instrumentalists during the dinner hour, arid often a live band or disc jockey group come on board after dinner for dancing and listening pleasure into the night.

Contact a number of professionals who specialize in the types of entertainment you have chosen. Attend one of their performances. Find Out the number of performers and whether the same performers will be playing at your wedding. Discuss whether you can supply lists of your families' favorite songs, or if the group's routine is preset. Ask about the performers' wedding attire; Find out how often and how long they "break~'. Compare costs; Note whether the price is figured by a flat or an hourly fee.

Finalize arrangements with your chosen entertainers as early as possible, as many performers are booked several months in advance. Two weeks before the wedding talk with your entertainer again to confirm the date, location, time of set-up and time the performance will begin. Be sure to get everything in writing.

Most professional entertainers are anxious to please you and your guests. Much of their future business depends upon references from satisfied clients.
